Abdullah Gül University (AGU) hosted its 4th International Staff Week between 11 and 15 May 2026. Within the scope of the program, representatives from CY Cergy Paris Université in France, the Institute of Business Management (IOBM) in Pakistan, and Shanghai Dianji University in China were welcomed at AGU.

As part of the International Staff Week, participants were introduced to Abdullah Gül University, the International Office, and the Erasmus Coordinatorship. The program also included visits to the Presidential Abdullah Gül Museum and Library and the AGU campus, where participants were informed about the university’s academic, social, and cultural opportunities. In addition, various activities were held at the Presidential Abdullah Gül Museum and Library.

Throughout the program, which focused on bilateral meetings and strengthening institutional interaction, presentations were delivered by the International Relations Office, Erasmus Office, AGU Youth Factory, Sustainability Coordinatorship, and, for the first time this year, the Quality Coordinatorship. During these sessions, the activities, ongoing work, and institutional processes of the relevant units were shared with the participants. The sessions attracted strong interest from the participants and were held in a highly interactive atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the program, unlike previous years, was the organization of intensive one-to-one meetings aimed at strengthening opportunities for bilateral cooperation. In this context, participants came together with relevant academic and administrative units at AGU and had the opportunity to evaluate existing and potential areas of cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas from the Institute of Business Management held productive bilateral meetings with the Erasmus Coordinator of the Department of Computer Engineering, the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, the Dean of the Faculty of Managerial Sciences, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Evren Mutlugün. During these meetings, joint publications, joint degree programs, joint project applications, support for global ranking activities, and various areas of academic cooperation were discussed in detail.

Catherine Burton, representing CY Cergy Paris Université, held bilateral meetings with the Quality Coordinatorship and the Erasmus Coordinator of the Department of Industrial Engineering. These meetings focused on institutional quality processes and potential academic cooperation opportunities.

Silvia Elisabeth Kettelhut, representing Shanghai Dianji University, mainly held meetings with the International Relations Office and the Erasmus Office. The discussions addressed international joint project applications, the development of bilateral cooperation through the signing of an exchange agreement, and the possibility of submitting a joint Erasmus+ KA171 project application, provided that the eligibility requirements are met.

A city tour was organized to enable the participants to become better acquainted with the historical and cultural values of Kayseri. The gala dinner was also one of the activities that strengthened the social interaction aspect of the program.

At the end of the International Staff Week, certificates of participation were presented to the participants. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the academic, administrative, and social activities organized throughout the program and stated that the one-to-one meetings were particularly valuable for developing future collaborations and strengthening sustainable institutional partnerships.
